Exodus 20:4-6 The Message (MSG)
4-6 No carved gods of any size, shape, or form of anything whatever, whether of things that fly or walk or swim. Don’t bow down to them and don’t serve them because I am God, your God, and I’m a most jealous God, punishing the children for any sins their parents pass on to them to the third, and yes, even to the fourth generation of those who hate me. But I’m unswervingly loyal to the thousands who love me and keep my commandments.
Acts 8:5-24 Expanded Bible (EXB)
Philip Preaches in Samaria
5 Philip [C one of the seven leaders chosen to serve; 6:5; 21:8] went to ·the city[a] [or a city; or the main city] of Samaria [C perhaps the city of Sebaste, known in ancient times as Samaria] and ·preached about [proclaimed] the ·Christ [Messiah]. 6 When the ·people[L crowds] there heard Philip and saw the ·miracles [signs] he was doing, they all [L with one accord/mind] listened carefully to what he said. 7 Many of these people had ·evil [L unclean; 5:16] spirits in them, but Philip made the evil spirits ·leave [come out]. The spirits made a loud ·noise [cry] when they came out. Philip also healed many ·weak [paralyzed] and ·crippled [lame] people there. 8 So the people in that city were ·very happy [joyful; greatly rejoicing].
9 But there was a man named Simon in that city. ·Before Philip came there, [L Previously] Simon had practiced ·magic [sorcery] and amazed all the people of Samaria. He ·bragged and called himself[L said he was] a great man. 10 All the people—·the least important and the most important [L from the smallest to the greatest]—paid attention to Simon, saying, “This man has the power of God, called ‘·the Great Power [L Great]’!” 11 Simon had amazed them with his ·magic [sorcery] so long that the people ·became his followers [L paid attention to him]. 12 But when Philip told them the ·Good News[Gospel] about the kingdom of God and the ·power [L name] of Jesus Christ, men and women believed Philip and were baptized. 13 Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed very close to Philip. When he saw the ·miracles [signs] and the powerful things Philip did, Simon was amazed.
14 When the apostles who were still in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria [8:1] had ·accepted [received] the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. 15 When Peter and John arrived, they prayed that the Samaritan believers might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 These people had [L only] been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, but the Holy Spirit had not yet ·come [L fallen] upon any of them. 17 Then, when ·the two apostles [L they] began ·laying[placing] their hands on the people [C a ritual of blessing and/or conferring of authority], they received the Holy Spirit.
18 Simon saw that the Spirit was given to people when the apostles ·laid [placed] their hands on them. So he offered the apostles money,19 saying, “Give me also this power so that anyone on whom I ·lay[place] my hands will receive the Holy Spirit.”
20 Peter said to him, “·You and your money should both be destroyed[L May your silver perish with you], because you thought you could ·buy [get; obtain] God’s gift with money. 21 You ·cannot [L have no part or] share with us in this ·work [ministry; L thing; word] since your heart is not right before God. 22 ·Change your heart! Turn away from [L Repent of] this evil thing you have done, and pray to the Lord. Maybe he will forgive you for ·thinking this [L the intent of your heart].23 [L For] I see that you are full of ·bitter jealousy [L the gall/bile of bitterness; C a metaphor; gall is a bitter fluid; Deut. 29:18] and ·ruled by sin [L in bondage to wickedness/unrighteousness].”
24 Simon answered, “Both of you pray for me to the Lord so the things you have said will not happen to me.”
Now what is so special with Black Magics? There must be something interesting, exciting with them?
Teleportation? Just as Yesus did together with his disciples in the book of John Apocrypha in the part of The Visit in Gamaliels House, they teleported each other from the desert in Jericho to Jerusalem just like that, in an instant.
Other magics that Yesus can perform? There should be a separate book describing more of Yeshua’s miracles, it is stated in the Holy Scriptures.
There are surely many magics that the witches are performing since there is even education about how to perform what, on Youtube.
Black magics/Voodoo/Witchcraft/praying to other gods is evil. Why? Because you must give back somethings in return to the devil and what can that be? All other gods = demons = satanism even within Buddism as well as Hinduism. The black magics are not free in other words, and in the end people who are into forbidden magics will be trapped by satan himself.
The Good True God Yah is the Right One to pray to, and you can get what you want to, if you only believe and have faith!
Matthew 21:21 Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. 22 You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”
If there are people performing witchcraft, do they realize that it is only thanks to Yeshuah (Yesus) witches are preserved in order to repent?
Do not forget that Yeshuah was a magician too and performed great necessary magics in order to heal people. I wish I could walk on the waters. As a matter of fact Yeshuah was/is the only one who can drive out demons. His apostles were authorized to cast out demons as well, but the apostles did not always manage it.
Yeshuah could/can make people alive again, put their souls and spirits back to their bodies.
In the Old Testament the bids were very tough,
many people of Shem as well as of Ham were killed
in many wars because of praying to other gods.
In the Old Testament in the 1+2 Kings as well as in 1+2 Chronicles there were many wars, why? Answer: it is stated that a witch should be killed, and that is exactly what both sides were doing, praying to untrue gods. During the wars Shem, fought back and forth, to combat people praying to magic gods. Israel became oppressed by Ham. Israel was punished by God when worshiping other gods.
Israel repented and promised to not pray to other satanic gods again. But it was always God who gave the final order to war against who. But also Israeli tribes were in the war with each other as well, all because to prevent people praying to other gods, performing satanism/black magics – that is why it is said: Exodus 22:18 Contemporary English Version (CEV) “Death is the punishment for witchcraft.”
At the same time it is said in Exodus 20:13
New American Standard Bible “You shall not murder.”
Now there were many people killed in those wars in order to combat the black magics. Therefore God sent Yeshuah to Earth to preach about love and peace, no more witch-haunting, but at the same time Yeshuah said many times to not pray to other gods. We should only pray to the One and Only God and that is Yah! Because black magics will end to something really horrible in the end, since black magics come from a Betrayer, a Liar and this Creature will put the witches in a trap to the devastation, something they do not realize. That is why God as well as God’s Son Yeshuah warns about this several times. Even King Solomon warns about praying to other gods in the book of king Solomon’s wisdom, because he did have experience with his sat-wives, who fooled him.
It is something different when the magics come from The Good God and many prophets were able to perform so called miracles/crafts who only worshiped the true God Yah.
Don’t forget who is warning, the greatest magician after GOD and that is Yeshuah. God is the highest intelligence in the whole Universe. The One and Only True God Yah Loves people, that is why all the warnings and has sent his Son Yeshuah/Yesus to this Earth. Yeshua will be the King on this Earth and establish the righteous Kingdom where there is peace and joy.
The Devil has fooled the witches/black magicians into something horrible that no one can imagine.
New American Standard Bible Deuteronomy 18:14 For those nations, which you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the Lord your GOD has not allowed you to do so.
NET Bible Deuteronomy 18:14 nations that you are about to dispossess listen to omen readers and diviners, but the Lord your GOD has not given you permission to do such things.
New Living Translation
Acts 19.19 A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their incantation books and burned them at a public bonfire. The value of the books was several million dollars.
English Standard Version
Acts 19.19 And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.
